Helping my fellow Okies to discover positivity and healthy living is my passion. As a native Okie, I am inspired by the gritty frontier spirit shown by local entrepreneurs who establish small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Oklahoma. My upbringing taught me values of loyalty, commitment and determination.
Owners of a local pharmacy for over 40 years, my parents taught me to respect the value of loyalty and how business owners support each other. My positive attitude (taught by my mother’s lifelong example) and my family’s love were vital tools for my success over breast cancer in 2015. My wonderful 3 kids are the reason I improved my lifestyle and became a long distance runner. As a Cancer survivor, I feel richly satisfied when I help others improve their health and fitness.
During my 9 years of work at OKCU, I am happy to help Okies reduce stress and improve their financial fitness. Representing Oklahoma’s Credit Union at community events and through our corporate sponsorships of Children’s Health Foundation, The Plaza District and Uptown 23rd
District is fun because I find joy in “keeping it local.”
